  1. A carp is a FISH Cyprinus carpio found all 
  2. over the world. It commonly grows to 50cm
  3. (1.8) ft and 3kg(7 lb), but may be even 
  4. larger. It lives in lakes, ponds, and slow 
  5. rivers. A large proportion of European 
  6. freshwater fish belong to the carp family, 
  7. Cyprinidae, and related fishes are found in 
  8. Asia, Africa, and North America.
